Testimonials

Grosvenor Hotel - Timaru

I call Sheryl and Alistair my A-Team for one simple reason, they are consummate professionals.  When you book them for a gig, you can count on them to handle EVERYTHING and that, we won't even break a sweat.

They have been in the entertainment industry for so long and you can say that they have seen it all.  Their sixth sense has been sharpened immensely and they know intuitively when the set list is to work or not. They always make sure that if things don't work out, they would improvise to ensure that they would somehow work out in the end.

Many of their students have since become accomplished professional musicians in their own right & the Grosvenor was privileged enough to host some of them.  So, these are all the tell-tale signs that you are dealing with one of the best in the region.

There are many musicians that refuse to move on with time and with Double Talk, they are forever upping the ante by learning new songs to make themselves relevant.  I can't praise them enough.  However, most importantly, they are genuinely nice people too and I'm proud to call them my friends.

So, if you are still procrastinating whether to book them for your next events, let me do you a favour, change the word "if" into "when".You won't be sorry.I look forward to working with them again.

Faithfully,

Ping Lim

South Canterbury Hospice Wine & Food Festival

On behalf of hospice South Canterbury it gives me great pleasure to recommend Sheryl Higgs and Alistair Bradley personally, as the duo Double Talk and as part of the four piece band Fusion to any prospective employer.

Hospice has had many dealings with Sheryl and Alistair over the years with all entertainment contracts being met to the highest of standards.  They are brilliant musicians which is reflected throughout their top class professional performances.

Personally they are very generous people and have a strong empathy towards Hospice.  They are always willing to assist and offer support, skills and advice towards events even on occasions when they are not involved as performers.

Annually we hold a Wine and Food Festival, which is a major fundraiser for Hospice.  The event attracts around 4000 people and is the biggest festival of this type to be held in South Canterbury.  Last year we were fortunate enough to have Fusion perform, the crowd loved them many preferring Fusion over our main head liner act for the day.  They have also performed as both Fusion and Double Talk at our annual Mid Winter Ball over the year.  This is another major fundraiser for hospice and a marked event on many social calenders throughout the region.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Sheryl, Alistair, Double Talk or Fusion them to any prospective employer they are top professional entertainers and true crowd pleasers.  Sheryl has a very warm and inviting personality with an outstanding ability to interact with very large audiences.

Should you require any further information please contact me as I would have absolutely no hesitation in expanding on this.

Yours faithfully

Kaikoura Seafest

Seafest Loves Double Talk

What a popular band, Sheryl and Alistair the energised duo making wonderful music together, offering a vast repertoire of covers they have the crowd dancing within minutes of taking to the stage at the Kaikoura Seafest.

They are a show within themselves within their ability to draw such a vast range of age groups to the dance floor together and keep them dancing.

Highly experienced and totally professional they are a proven act, their ability to interact with the audience at any level only showcases the incredible ability to perform these two musicians possess.

They are one of our most popular acts brought back by popular demand as often as we can work them through the entertainment programme.

We pride ourselves on the quality and high range of entertainers we provide to our event and I acknowledge Double Talks contribution in ensuring Seafest is the biggest and the best part in town.

Seven Oaks Wedding Reception Centre

We have pleasure in providing a reference for Alistair & Sheryl (Double Talk) as they have over the four years that we have operated Seven Oaks been the most popular band. This is as a result of them appealing to a wide range of people and having that ability to keep in touch with what people want and get them going right at the start of the night. They are great to deal with and our daughter has chosen them to play at her wedding in October.
