Beyond their live performances, Sheryl & Al also run Starbound Studios, a professional booking company that contracts and organises top-tier bands for venues, particularly for Christmas and end-of-year functions for us. They specialise in curating entertainment for all kinds of events at our restaurant, which features a relaxed courtyard, stylish private rooms, and public bar. From festive family gatherings to corporate work functions and after-work drinks, Starbound Studios and Double Talk are known for their reliability, professionalism, and for creating unforgettable experiences. We have been working with Sheryl and Al for over 10 years now and will continue to work with them in the future.

We chose Double Talk as our wedding band after an unforgettable New Year’s Eve dancing to them in Twizel, and we’re so glad we did!
Sheryl and Al were incredible to work with: friendly, professional, and totally in tune with the energy of the room. The dance floor was full all night, and when the crowd chanted ‘one more song!’, they delivered with an encore that kept the celebration alive.
They even went out of their way to learn a special song just for our first dance, which made the moment truly personal and unforgettable.

We at the Top Hut in Twizel have been lucky enough to have them play for us for many years and they still remain an absolute crowd favourite. The song list is always up to date and delivery on point. Booking Double Talk to play at our wedding was a no-brainer. After our relationship initially began dancing to Double Talk at the Twizel Top Hut pub on new years eve; we knew they were the only band for us on our wedding day. Sheryl and Al are fantastic musicians who sing a variety of music that gets the whole room dancing.
We gave them absolutely no direction regarding the type of music we were after. Instead they simply arrived and read the room perfectly, selecting their own set of music to match the energy of the party. Many of our wedding guests commented that they struggled to catch a break from the dance floor, because every new song played was even better than the last.
We can't thank Double talk enough for contributing to making our wedding the absolute best day of our lives. We would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for a highly talented, professional, and fun two piece band.
