30th March

Well after a lovely 2 weeks holiday in the Gold Coast we are straight  back into the ​gigs with the Lions Conference held at the Temuka Stadium. This was a dress up night with lots of fun had by all. Lots of people from all over New Zealand were attending.

16th March

​Played at the SBS Centre in Timaru for the wedding of Amy & Sam list on Saturday night. As Al was away in Australia we had Mike Ferrar from Christchurch filling in on guitar and did a fabulous job!! This was another awesome dance with all the guests up dancing the night away.

10th March

​We headed down to Wanaka to perform at The New Zealand National Rodeo Finals in the weekend. Sheryl sung the National Anthem both days before the Rodeo began and we performed a set both days. Had fantastic sound by Grenville & Jan Craig at Total Sound Solutions and were well looked after by the rodeo committee. Then on the Sunday night after prize giving it was the big hoedown!! And what a night it was!!! This was such a fantastic weekend.

7th March

We were back at 'The Sail & Cafe Bar' in Timaru for the first time this year and what a cool night we had!! A couple of patrons celebrating their birthdays got up with us with a couple of songs also. ​More gigs at The Sail yet to come....always a good time there!

1st March

Awesome wedding dance for Kayla & Jason Jackson out at Ashfield House in Temuka. A fantastic evening and great guests to play for. Thanks so much for booking us, we had a ball. 

25th February

​Played for the Eagles Golfing Society Conference last night at the Caroline Bay Hall to around 350 guests. Played some old tunes we haven't done for a long time while everyone dined then they cleared a few tables to allow bait of a boogie. A good fun night!!

23rd February

At the beautiful Centerwood Estate in Waimate for Emily & Campbells wedding dance. Such a fantastic venue with large grounds and a beautiful Marquee with full wooden floor. A great dancey crowd to play to!! 

22nd February

​We headed down to Wanaka yesterday to the fantastic reception centre 'The Venue" for Libby & Erland's Wedding. Erland's Father & Sister sung the first dance song which was so special and then the guests danced all night. With 25 guests over from Norway we quickly put together A-Ha's 'Take on Me" during the afternoon and it went down a treat at the dance. (Only band we knew from Norway!!!). We had a great time and today are leaving Wanaka to play at Centerwood Estate in Waimate for another wedding.

18th February

On Saturday we had the pleasure of playing at the wedding dance of Tara and Hayden​ from the Gold Coast Australia at the Poplars Reception Centre. What a fantastic night!! The guests danced the night away and the highlight was when Hayden sung 'I Won't Give Up' to Tara during the night. We also supplied the sound in the afternoon for the beautiful ceremony. Tara & Hayden booked us a long way out from the day and it was great to finally play for them. Thanks for having us guys!!

Had a ball playing at The Tekapo Tavern for Valentines Day with Bex Murray, Kaylee Bell​ & Cam Scott. Great to see a packed crowd there all having a great time!

16th February

Heres a lovely email we got sent today! Thanks guys and Happy Anniversary!!

"1 year ago today I married my best friend and took his last name. Everything about our day was perfect. We wouldnt have changed a thing at all. After our 1st dance together as husband and wife, 98% of our guests were up dancing sharing the dance floor with us! It was amazing! 

All thanks to the one and only "DOUBLE TALK" they worked out the crowd and knew what to play to get the night started and it didn't stop! There was not a song been sung when there wasn't someone up dancing. Massive thanks to you both for such awesome team work. 

Any occasion we may have, will be contacting you again! At such a reasonable price, for such an amazing talent to wow the crowd Double Talk Is the answer. Thanks again for making our wedding reception the night it was!"

10th February

Up in Tekapo on Saturday playing at the beautiful Parkbrae Estate for Gemma & Michael's wedding. Absolutely stunning day and such a fantastic wedding. One of the most beautiful settings for a wedding and having Mr Whippy arrive to serve dessert was such a hit!! Thanks Gemma & Michael for having us!

8th February

Last night we were up at the SBS Stadium for Tylesha & Matts wedding. Such a fun crowd and topped off by Blue Dobson singing a song he wrote for his daughter Tylesha. Congrats guys!!

4th February

Had the South Canterbury Hospice Wine & Food festival yesterday and what a great day it was. We were backing Kaylee Bell for her set then had Bex Murray join us for our set later on in the day. Fabulous Weather, Food , Music & Wine...a perfect day!!

January 25th

​Great night last night at the Speights Ale House in Timaru. Due to weather conditions we could not be outside in the courtyard but had fun indoors anyway. A great place to relax for a drink and have an awesome meal.

​Last night we played at a awesome wedding dance at Sopheze on the Bay for Mr & Mrs Wingfield. It was a fantastic night full of fun and dancing!!

Had the privilege yesterday of being asked to sing Opshop's One Day by Jason Kerrison with him on his show. Absolutely loved it!! You can check out a video of the performance here. Thanks Jason!!!

January 5th

A busy day yesterday getting Jamie McDell and her band all sorted for their shows at the Caroline Bay Carnival and then heading down to Oamaru to the fantastic Homestead function centre for a wedding dance. Got home around 1.30am and now getting things sorted for Jason Kerrison who is performing on the Soundshell today.

January 4th

​Had a fabulous time at the Caroline Bay Carnival with Camille & Stuie French from Sydney Australia. These two are a class act and make sure you catch their shows if you get the opportunity. It was lovely to get up and sing harmonies to Songs Of Home and Al had a ball being invited to join Stuie on guitar for Sultans of Swing. You can check out the video of Sultans Of Swing here.

Last night was a fabulous New Years Eve Concert at the Caroline Bay Soundshell performing with the fabulous Beat Girls and local band Sha-Low.
